The water ice Monster ate ALL of the water ice in the world Today!

Let me start from the beginning.

Mom took me to the beach today. I LOVE the beach!
Well… okay, fine. I don’t love the beach. But I do like playing in the water and making sandcastles.
But the best part of the beach, you’re wondering?

Water ice.

Water ice is the perfect snack. Bubble gum water ice is my favorite. If pink had a taste, it would be bubble gum water ice.
Do you know how it’s made?

Okay.  SO…
Unicorns sprinkle pink bubble gum glitter from cotton candy clouds. The cloud sweat (also known as rain) mixes with the glitter candy from a unicorn horn.

THEN

She shakes the cloud up. REALLY well. Until it’s all mixed together.
Finally, they deliver it to the stores on the boardwalk.

I assume these are just Jersey Shore 6. Why?
Well, I’ve tried water ice in different places. It’s not the same. So, I’m pretty sure they made a deal to keep the best water ice to themselves.

Meanwhile…

My tummy is rumbly with dreams of pink unicorn clouds dancing in my mind. I picture a little me inside of my belly, mouth open wide to consume all of the water ice goodness. I eat every last drop until it’s all gone. Shivers of cool pink crystals wave through my belly.

The thought of water ice makes me happy!
I also think it’s important to keep the unicorns in business! Which means, I HAVE to get water ice today!

Right now, the beach is full. A sea of umbrellas, people, and coolers creates a maze from the boardwalk to the water line.

As we tiptoe toward the wet sand, a boy runs by me with a crab stuck to his finger!

Yikes! I wince a little at the thought of a crab claw on my pinky.

A seagull squawks at an old man. He’s chomping on mini trees in a broken beach chair. Silly man, all sideways as he waves the mini trees around!
Another seagull swoops and strikes his head! The seagulls are menacing today! I wonder if the Monster Seagull is controlling all of the other gulls. Monster Gull LOVES water ice.

I stand at the edge of the water and start to wonder; do the unicorns hang out with the mer-folk in the ocean? And do they sell water ice to mermaids?
How would mermaids eat water ice?
What if, when they dive down deep, the water ice falls apart?
Maybe they have to eat it on land.
Maybe that’s why you always see pictures of mermaids hanging out with fishermen on rocks.
They’re probably sharing water ice.

As much as I want to play, all I can think about is the bubble gum pink scoop piled over a green and white cup!

As much as I think about it, I try not to talk about it. No one else seems to be thinking about water ice.
Which is okay.
Mom seems to be thinking about ways to keep Baby Mickey from running into the ocean alone while Dad plays lifeguard for big brother.

I’m busy in the sand when Dad appears with a scooper and a sandcastle-shaped bowl. I PLOP down in a new spot and get to work!
