Hello! I am Ellie. A neurodivergent author and trauma- informed writer with a passion for writing children’s books, short stories, and poetry.

I graduated from La Salle University with a
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (2005).
Earned a Master’s Degree in Education Counseling (2009)
from Wilmington University,
and added a Post- Master’s Degree in Trauma & Resilience
from Wilmington University (in 2023).

I’ve also attended several self-development courses in creative writing, poetry, and short stories over the last 2 decades, including;
NYT best-selling author Lynn Andrew’s Writing School.
As well as a 4-year Write with
Spirit Mentorship - by world-renowned Author Alison Nappi.

I

In my decades of work as a social worker, writer, coach, and mentor,I have returned to writing time and again as the most profound healing modality I can access. I developed a deep love of storytelling through children’s books early in my life, and decided in 2019 to reinvigorate this passion! It is my hope that my children’s books will connect families, help children feel seen, and build trust through understanding the neurodivergent language of sensory sensitivities, and emphasize the importance of compassion in the home. But perhaps most importantly, I am determined to empower and enliven neurodivergent voices through the magic of storytelling.

We have worked together on the Right Now! Kid book series since 2020 and are excited to continue producing books for years to come.

Together, they have received the “Story Monsters” Award in 2025 for The Right Now! Kid: I am a Lion in the categories of picture fiction books & family matters.  This book also won a Bookfest Award in the category of children and Families and was featured as a top new book on Amazon in its first week of release.

We can’t wait to expand the Right Now! Kid World by introducing the next book in the series, “Unmasked: A Halloween Story,” to the Amazon Kindle and Lulu Bookstores.

Meet the illustrator:

Michael K. is our in-house illustrator, and he does all of the animation for our books!
His art has been featured in magazines and commissioned for display in businesses and buildings across the state of New Jersey.

He has collaborated with people and businesses on artistic projects, including digital logos for music bands, books, and businesses. But, most people recognize Michael best from his role as “Diveroll Dad” on Tik Tok!

I have also appeared in classrooms as a guest speaker. I love teaching students about life as an “indie” author (independent publishing).
